Stompin Youth Choreographic Project

We invite Australian choreographers with an interesting studio practice and a passion for working with young people to conduct a two-week choreographic intensive, mentoring the Stompin dancers to create their own dance works. This project also serves as a way to keep Stompin connected to national and international trends in dance, and as a way to refresh our collective of dance artists who are interested in contributing as guest artists on our major shows. Beyond this, it is a wonderful way to up-skill our dancers. Our dancers are our choreographers in our shows. The more skills our dancers have, the more they are able to contribute fully to our unique artistic processes.

Over the years, we have been lucky enough to work with

Eleanor Bauer | Alice Lee Holland | Lewis Major | Liesel Zink | Lucas Stibbard | Bec Dundas | Sofie Burgoyne | Mel de Ruyter | Gabriel Comerford | Rebecca Jensen
